 Town Manager Jon Davis
Hello, Windsor!Did you feel the earthquake? We sure did at Town Hall – a Planning Commission meeting was in progress and in the interest of safety, we stopped the meeting. The temblor was a good reminder that we should all be prepared when -- not if -- disasters happen. See our item below on some good resources to help get you up to speed.
You may also be interested in attending the Sept. 21 Town Council meeting to learn about or provide comment on the Draft Housing Element. Discussion of short-term rentals in Windsor and a proposal to extend the moratorium on STRs will also be considered.
And, if you’re at the Windsor Certified Farmers Market on the Town Green on Sunday, Sept. 25, stop by our booth to say hi and pick up some free tools to help you conserve water. I’ll be joined by staff from our water, environment, and sustainability teams.

Are You Prepared for Disaster?
The 4.4-magnitude earthquake earlier this week (6:39 PM on Sept. 13) is a reminder that we all need to be prepared for disasters, whether they’re earthquakes, wildfires, floods, or other events, such as prolonged power outages.
If you haven’t already, create a plan and build an emergency supply kit. Consider the unique needs of your family, such as supplies that might be needed by older adults and those with disabilities. And don’t forget pets! Add items in your kit such as a selfie photo with your pets in case you get separated; medicine and grooming items; and a collar with an ID and leash. For more helpful resources on emergency preparedness, go to https://www.ready.gov/.
