The Windsor Police Department is staffed by Sonoma County Sheriff Department employees through a negotiated contract between the County and the Town of Windsor.
The Police Department employs 20 full time employees, including the Chief, two sergeants, 14 officers, two traffic officers, one school resource officer, and two civilian administrative staff.
The police department provides law enforcement services to the Town of Windsor including but not limited to:
