Levi's GranFondo

2024 Gran Fondo Logo

Levi’s GranFondo is an annual Sonoma County cycling event that began in 2009 and is recognized as “one of the best-organized cycling events in the world”. The event, which moved from Santa Rosa to Windsor in 2022, attracts riders from all over the world, and remains open to all levels of riding experience.  This year the event takes place on Saturday April 25, 2026. Registration and packet pick up will be available on Friday, and the cycling event and festival will take place on Saturday.

The registration fees and fundraising from the event go to supporting the event in the future and the King Ridge Foundation, a non-profit that helps “at-risk youth break the cycle of violence and trauma”. The King Ridge Foundation is a key partner in building a Pump Track at Keiser Park in Windsor.

The inclusion of a professional race this year has attracted attention from notable cycling publications such as Bicycling Magazine, Cycling News, and Velo, sparking discussions on the potential revitalization of professional road racing in the US. The event has a significant positive impact on the Windsor economy and benefits our local businesses. A study conducted by the Sonoma County Economic Development Board estimated that the total economic impact of the event in 2023 was over $1 million.

The Ride

There are 7 courses available to participate in. Riders have the option to choose their course based on their experience level, ranging from the Family Fondo at 10.6 miles, to the Growler at 138.0 miles, which will be raced by top professional riders. There is a registration fee for each race besides the Family Fondo, which is free for anyone who wants to participate. On Saturday, the ride will begin staging at 7:00 AM, and officially kick off at 7:30 AM sharp. Roads along the routes will see noticeably increased bicycle traffic between 7:30 AM and 5:30 PM.
