Windsor COPE

Being Windsor Ready – Together!

COPE (Communities Organized to Prepare for Emergencies) is an emergency preparedness program that helps neighbors connect and prepare together, whether for wildfires, earthquakes, or other emergencies. Windsor COPE was started in 2020 and is part of COPE Northern Sonoma County, a non-profit organization. It is supported by the Town of Windsor, Sonoma County Fire District, and Windsor Police, who periodically team with Windsor COPE to host workshops and other events. The Town of Windsor and Windsor COPE co-host the Windsor Ready! Talk series to help residents be prepared and informed.

The COPE program is facilitated by Neighborhood Leaders who provide guidance to houses in their immediate neighborhood. WitCOPE-Windsor-logoh support from COPE Community Leaders, these neighborhood teams unite to build community and support each other.
