Inspections

Building Inspections are required periodically as your construction project progresses. The specific type and number of inspections depends on the scope of your project. A good rule of thumb for inspections is that anytime something is going to be covered up or made inaccessible, an inspection will be required.

It is the responsibility of the permit holder to request inspections from the Building Division as their project progresses. If you are ever unsure about whether an inspection is needed, please contact us.

Inspections are performed Monday through Thursday, from 8:30am until 4:30pm.

  1. Text one of the following commands
    • SCHEDULE (to schedule an inspection)
    • RESCHEDULE (to reschedule an inspection)
    • CANCEL (to cancel an inspection - anticipate availability by November 2025. Until then, please call Building at 707-522-8346 to cancel an inspection)
    • RESULTS (to obtain inspection results) 
  2. Send it to 877-813-1904 to opt in to receiving messages and begin scheduling 
  3. Follow the interactive prompts for entering your permit number and inspection code.
