Project Description
With the arrival of the Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART) service to Windsor, SMART has built a parking lot for passengers at the southeast corner of Windsor Road and Windsor River Road. SMART also constructed frontage improvements, including a new sidewalk along Windsor Road as part of the parking lot work. With the addition of the new sidewalk by SMART, this location is the only remaining section of sidewalk gap along Windsor Road between the roundabout and Mitchell Lane.
The proposed sidewalk will connect the new sidewalk constructed by SMART with the existing sidewalk located further south along the east side of Windsor Road. The items of work include constructing approximately 110 feet of sidewalk, curb, and gutter along the property frontage at this location
The construction cost is approximately $130,000 and is funded by the Town's Traffic Mitigation Fund.
