More… The Youth Mayor appointment provides an opportunity for young people of the Town to advise the Mayor on issues and concerns they face today. The Youth Mayor will become somewhat of a liaison to help bridge the gap between local officials and the youth of the community and improve services that directly affect young people. It also provides the Town’s youth a viable link directly to the Mayor to learn about City policies, procedures and select governmental workings. This program is designed to engage our youth in civic and community initiatives that contribute to our thriving town. Students will have opportunities to develop their leadership skills through community engagement activities and to advocate for youth in community matters, thus increasing the likelihood they will continue their contribution to the Town of Windsor community in their adult years.
